Birth of "Labrys"

Birth of Labrys

An animation about the birth of our organization was created as part of a learning course in one of UK's colleges.

English language instructors in the UK will use in their classes an animation narrating the history of LGBTIQA organization "Labrys" - from establishment to present times. This animation was created with participation of an activist from Kyrgyzstan in the process of her language course at the "Morley College" in 2014. The animation will be used for education of adults for whom English is a second language. It is expected that the video will help the instructors to start discussions on LGBT issues within the framework of their English language courses.

On International Trans Day of Visibility (TDoV), TGEU, in collaboration with partner organisations, is publishing the booklet “A brief guide to monitoring anti-trans violence” in English and Russian.
The document explores tips for individual and community well-being, as well as campaigning as a force of community building, with activists from the various countries sharing their experiences. Also included in the booklet is a call to international organisations and funders to assist the trans movement in monitoring initiatives as well as taking into account the well-being and livelihood of activists working on anti-trans violence worldwide.
